Fairy Tale Town

One of my FAVORITE places to go growing up was FairyTale Town. It is a place designed specifically for kids to use their imaginations. Nothing is animated, it is all about interaction, learning, and story telling. Since David is in Las Vegas this weekend for the Super Bowl, I thought it would be fun to take Kendall to Fairy Tale Town and then out to lunch at Vic's afterwards. We had so much fun and I can't wait to take her back when Daddy gets home!

Playing Catch Up

I cannot believe how behind I have gotten on this! Life has been super fun, but hectic for the past few months. Between a work trip for me the week before Christmas, the Holidays, and the New Year, we have been one busy bunch.

We had a wonderful Christmas with all our family and friends this year. It was so much fun to see Kendall interact and play this year compared to last when she was just four months old. This year, she got a teepee and bean bag chair from Santa, and lots of other smaller toys from us and family/friends.

These are just a few snapshots from the past few months and what we have been up to!

Friday Night Lights

For 7 out of our 8 years together, D has been coaching football for the high school he teaches at. Last year Kendall and I went to a few games together (I wore her in the ergo). We went to one early on this season, but she was barely walking, and trying to keep a busy crawler occupied is not the easiest thing. Now that she is walking 100%, it's much easier to take her to the games. The past two Friday nights we have gone for the first half and then have left after half time. It's just the right amount of time for her (and me!). We have a great time rooting for the wildcats!

Our weekend

For the first time in a long time, we had a mellow weekend at home. Dave had a football game Friday night (they won! Go cats!) that Kendall and I went to for a bit. She was the talk of the town doing her "touchdown!" sign for everyone. Saturday morning we woke up and went our favorite little man's soccer game. Kendall loved kicking her own soccer ball around, and chasing after Landon and Harlow once the game was over.

Saturday night we spent at home with a pizza, football, and the Kings game.
Sunday screwed us up a bit with the time change, but after a long, early afternoon nap and an even earlier bedtime, I think we are back on track now. Gone are the days of an extra hour of sleep- hello toddler meltdowns!
Happy November!

Apple Hill and Halloween

We have had gorgeous weather in Northern California the last few weekends, so we have been trying to take advantage! We took Kendall on her first trip to Apple Hill in October where she got her first pumpkin.

She also got to go trick or treating on Thursday around the neighborhood, and helped us pass out candy to the 300+ trick or treaters we had. LOVE HALLOWEEN!

Disneyland

A few weekends ago, we joined my parents at Disneyland for a few days of Mickey Mouse fun. We were both a bit apprehensive about the 6 hour drive down to Anaheim, but Kendall was a total champ! I was over prepared for anything - water, snacks, bottles, books, toys, movies, etc, etc, etc. She didn't cry once! We left a bit before her morning nap, stopped for lunch once she was awake, left again in time for her afternoon nap, and got to Anaheim in time for a walk and dinner, before going down for the night. She didn't get the greatest sleep in her pac n play, but enough that she thoroughly enjoyed Disneyland and California Adventure the two days we went.

We had an AMAZING time! I can't wait to take her back. We weren't sure how she would do, but she absolutely loved all the decorations, commotion, etc.
